This position encompasses the oversight of receiving and shipping of product/material in accordance with company operational and quality procedures. This includes the proper stocking of received product materiel within the warehouse pick locations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Prioritization / Status
  • Coordinate and supervise inbound / outbound product shipments
  • Daily focus on Load Ready Day Time (LRDT) targets
  • Maintain alignment of shipping activities with daily goals
  • Monitor the capacity of shipping process
  • Support customer service standards
  • Investigate and resolve any shipping issues
  • Monitor Picker Productivity
  • Daily / Weekly review of performance versus KPI
  • Implement countermeasures to address any performance gaps
  • Support implementation of Process Improvements / Pick Optimization
  • Participate or lead training initiatives for team members
  • Leadership and Guidance
  • Deliver coaching and development to Workflow and Shipping coordinators
  • Facilitate team communication/support of KPI targets
  • Provide timely and relevant performance feedback to team members
  • Engage in problem solving of systemic issues
  • Report and oversee resolution of non-conforming product
  • Evaluate and implement info systems improvements
  • Analyze and make recommendations for overstock, transfers, sales forecast and maintaining the forecast
  • Analyze Inventory processes to make improvements for most accurate counts.
  • Participate in ISO9000 activities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prefer associate degree (preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field)
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment with ability to lead and motivate others
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution and/or production work environment
  • Knowledge and operational experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Labor Management System (LMS)
  • Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements for warehouse environment
  • Certification in Fork Truck / Mobile Equipment operation
  • Background in materials, quality, or supply chain management a plus
