Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bioprocessing equipment and systems used in the production of pharmaceutical and biological products.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in product manufacturing.
  • Assist in the setup, cleaning, and sterilization of bioreactors, fermentation tanks, and other bioprocessing equipment.
  • Collect and analyze samples at various stages of the bioprocessing cycle to monitor product quality and process efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all bioprocessing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet quality specifications and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and process deviations, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting process optimizations and equipment enhancements.
  • Assist in the validation of new equipment, processes, and procedures to ensure scalability and efficiency in production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and engineering, to ensure seamless production workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in bioprocessing to ensure state-of-the-art production techniques.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and tools are in good working condition and ready for use.

Education

Educational qualifications for Bioprocess Technicians often include a bachelor's or associate degree in biotechnology, biology, or a related field, supplemented by specialized training in bioprocessing techniques and GMP compliance.
