Responsibilities

  • Material Handling: Safely and efficiently load and unload materials, ingredients, and finished products using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, storage, and organization.
  • Order Picking: Retrieve materials and products from designated storage areas to fulfill production and shipping orders.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and products for damage or discrepancies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure and hygienic warehouse environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movements and equipment usage.
  • Inventory Replenishment: Restock materials and products as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Equipment Handling: Safely operate material handling equipment and tools, including forklifts.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in production, warehouse, and logistics to support material handling efforts and contribute to the overall success of our food manufacturing facility.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or license.
  • Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
  • Adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
