Material Handler

As a Material Handler in the food industry, you are responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and ingredients used in food production. Your role involves tasks such as loading and unloading, inventory management, and ensuring that the right materials are available for production.

Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely and efficiently load and unload materials and ingredients from trucks, containers, or storage areas.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of materials and ingredients.
- Order Fulfillment: Ensure that materials required for production are available on time and in the right quantities.
- Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections to verify that materials meet quality and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, and inventory counts.
- Inventory Replenishment: Reorder materials and ingredients as needed to prevent shortages.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure and hygienic work environment.
- Equipment Handling: Safely operate material handling equipment and tools, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if required).
- Organization: Ensure that materials are stored in designated locations and properly labeled.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in production, warehouse, and quality control to support overall material handling goals and contribute to the success of our food manufacturing facility.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a related role, preferably in the food or logistics industry.
- Proficiency in material handling equipment and tools, including forklift operation if required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and inventory.
- Adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and quality standards.
