Responsibilities

  • Receiving: Receive and inspect incoming shipments of food products and materials, verifying accuracy and quality.
  • Storage: Safely and efficiently store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, withdrawals, and adjustments.
  • Order Fulfillment: Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Shipping Coordination: Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Shipping Documentation: Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality during receiving and report any deviations or defects.
  • Inventory Counts: Conduct regular physical counts of inventory to maintain accuracy.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure and hygienic warehouse environment.
  • Inventory Disposal: Identify and manage disposal of expired or damaged inventory in accordance with regulations.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or in a related role, preferably in the food or logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in inventory management practices and software.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and shipments.
  • Adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
