As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in the alcohol industry, you play a crucial role in the management of incoming and outgoing shipments of materials and alcoholic beverage products. Your responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials, as well as preparing and coordinating shipments to distributors and customers. You are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely deliveries, maintaining records, and contributing to the efficiency of our supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving: Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials, ingredients, and alcoholic beverages, verifying accuracy and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Update inventory records to reflect incoming materials and products accurately.
  • Order Verification: Verify purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Shipment Preparation: Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks of outgoing products to ensure they meet standards.
  • Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of receiving and shipping data, including receipts, shipments, and quality checks.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during shipping and receiving activities.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste materials generated during shipping and receiving processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in production, quality control, and inventory management to support shipping and receiving needs and contribute to the overall success of our alcohol manufacturing facility.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or in a related role, preferably in the alcohol or beverage industry.
  • Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes and software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments.
  • Adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
